Electrocoating
E-Coat is applied using a fully automated, slide-rail transfer system. This method allows fixtures with multiple tiers of parts to be processed consistently and efficiently. Fully loaded
fixtures travel in uniform cycles through each stage of pretreatment, epoxy, rinsing, and curing.
The E-Coat line offers 9 stages of pretreatment chemistry including Zinc Phosphate and Non-Chrome Sealer. Greenfield currently utilizes PPG 8th Generation Epoxy, in black. Greenfield's E-Coat system is oriented for processing smaller part sizes in high volumes very competitively.
Automotive certifications and performance evaluations such as Salt Spray and Adhesion testing can be performed on site, or via independent laboratories.
